Felt in paper industry

A paper machine usually squeezes the moisture out of the wet web by holding it between a pair of press rollers and the felt containing the web. As a result, papermaking felt is subjected to constant pressure along its path, causing the felt to lose its elasticity due to repeated compression fatigue. Finally, the papermaking felt is squashed and loses its squeezing function. Therefore, for papermaking felt, it is very important to maintain its elasticity.
